Machining Center Spindle Speed Increasers

Mechanical, air-powered, and electric motor-driven speed increasers help maximize machine-tool productivity by achieving a higher spindle RPM required for certain applications.

PLATINUM TOOLING, an importer of live tools, angle heads, marking tools, Swiss tools, and multiple spindle tools from various manufacturers, is now offering Henninger speed increasers for North American machining operations.

Henninger speed increasers help maximize machine-tool productivity by achieving a higher spindle RPM that is required for certain applications now.  Small diameter tools require RPMs that sometimes are not possible to reach with existing machine tools. 

In addition, speed increasers allow for less wear on the machine’s spindle when it is not required to run at its maximum RPM.

Mechanical speeders are available with a gear ratio up to a 1:8 and a maximum speed of 50,000 RPM. 

Air speeders can run continuously at up to 80,000 RPM, and high-frequency motor spindles can maintain up to 80,000 RPM with high torque, and have variable speed options.

Many of the speeders have automatic tool-change capabilities and are modular in design, to offer the customer greater flexibility.

Henninger also manufactures custom angle heads, live centers, face drivers, and live chucks.  In addition, Henninger is a noteworthy manufacturer for center grinding machines.
