The Bit Buddy, from Huot Manufacturing, St. Paul, is a clip-on drill index holding 29 drills. Shaped like a cup with a screw-on domed cover, the drill-bit holder holds fractional drills from 1/16 through 1/2 in. in diameter in mechanics and jobber models. Made from high-impact plastic, the Bit Buddy clips to a manufacturing, construction, or maintenance-worker's tool belt, tool caddy, or ladder. If accidentally dropped or dislodged, drill bits remain inside the holder instead of falling out.
