Distech Systems (www.distechsystems.com) has developed an automatic loading and unloading device that is designed for turning, grinding and sawing equipment.
The company said it DS1200- MTL is a compact and reliable alternative to operator tending of machines. It also is compatible with most machining centers. The machine uses robotic technology to load and unload parts, and can be programmed to perform secondary operations such as part washing, packout and stacking.
The DS1200-MTL is designed to accept stacks of trays from carts, and eliminate operator lifting. It is made to be placed next to a machining center, so its robotic arm can feed parts directly into the spindle, fixture or internal loader. The robot also can load and unload auxiliary equipment, and can be used as a component of a machining cell.
Distech said its machines are delivered as complete, turnkey systems, and eliminate the need for additional onsite integration.
