New ER HP Collet Chucks for High Speed Milling and Machining

Seco says its new collet chucks are suitable for heavy-duty work

Seco Tools recently announced improvements to its range of ER HP collet chucks. According to the Swedish machining company, the “enhanced” collet chucks are balanced and feature a longer tool life than previous models while cutting down on tool slippage and vibration.

In a release, Seco said the new chucks enable consistent results, reduced tooling costs, and faster cycle times. The chucks’ high clamping force are suitable for use in heavy-duty operations.

Setup and implementation of the ER HP collet chucks is reportedly simpler than other toolholder systems. Seco says a roller key is sufficient to install them.

In a statement, Seco staff said the collet chucks improve on previous models and allow reliable machining.

“Our ER HP Collet Chuck is all about giving manufacturers the confidence to push their processes further without sacrificing precision or reliability. By combining fine balancing, high clamping force, and easy implementation, we’re helping our customers achieve smoother finishes, longer tool life, and greater sustainability in their operations,” said Yves Heitz, Global Product Manager for Machine Solutions, Seco Tools.
