Ready Metrology recently released a new line of coordinate measuring machines (CMM)s. In a December 15 statement, the company said the RUN line of CMMs are designed to measure quickly and accurately in production environments, either on in-process verification and end-of-line quality control.
The devices feature linear motors that don’t require an air supply or lubrication, which Ready Metrology reduces the amount of maintenance necessary to keep the devices functional. The CMMs also have an automatic stylus cleaning unit, to further reduce maintenance, and an active anti-vibration granite base with pneumatic dampers to ensure accurate measurements.
RUN CMMs are operated with Ready’s proprietary Easy Runner user interface, which can store measuring programs as barcodes. The devices come with a moving table and an optional clamping kit, which Ready says facilitates integration of the CMMs with robotics systems.
