The Caldwell Group Inc. (www.caldwellinc.com) has developed a winch boon that is designed to turn a fork lift into a “portable crane.”

The winch boom combines the reach of a fork lift boom with the precise lifting of a winch, and adds value and functionality to a lift truck. It fits standard fork lift trucks, and is an alternative to an overhead or gantry cranes.

It is available in fixed, telescopic and pivoting telescopic models with winch hook capacities of 2,000 lbs. or 2,400 lbs. it requires 110 volt electrical for standard operation, and has optional DC or hydraulic winch operation available.
