Rockwell Automation Inc. will build a new manufacturing facility in New Berlin, Wisconsin as part of a push to spend $2 billion on new investments in U.S. manufacturing. Previously announced in November 2025, the plant’s location was confirmed in remarks by Rockwell CEO Blake Moret during the company’s Q1 2025 earnings report.

“At our Automation Fair in November, we announced plans for our new manufacturing facility in Southeastern Wisconsin, and I’m pleased to share that this factory of the future will be located in New Berlin,” Moret said in planned remarks, before adding the company has purchased the building of its previously-leased Mequon, Wisconsin factory. “These two projects are aligned with our announced investments in our plants, talent, and digital infrastructure and underscore our commitment to, and confidence in, the U.S. market,” he added.

In his remarks, Moret did not specify how much of the $2 billion would go towards the New Berlin or Mequon plants, nor what the New Berlin plant will make.

In November, Rockwell Automation’s chief supply officer Bob Buttermore said the new factory would include sophisticated manufacturing technology.

“It will integrate the latest in Rockwell’s production technologies, including AI and analytics tools, to increase efficiency and precision, while providing team members with access to advanced tools and training. I’m excited to see our highly skilled workforce maximize the potential of this site,” Buttermore said. “This investment reflects our confidence in our teams that deliver excellence every day.”

Following the initial announcement of the new factory in November, Wisconsin governor Tony Evers praised the company for its advanced manufacturing and attachment to the state.

“Rockwell Automation has been leading the way with high-quality manufacturing and technology solutions for over a century. We’re incredibly proud of that tradition and how they've continued to exemplify the innovation and excellence that Wisconsin is known for, and we are excited to celebrate their continued growth and success in our state,” Gov. Evers said. “I want to thank Rockwell Automation for their ongoing commitment to Wisconsin, our workforce, and our communities, and I look forward to seeing how this newest expansion will accelerate our statewide goals of building a 21st-century workforce and economy.”
