New Coatings for Clamping Units

REGO-FIX Tool Corp. says its new finishing treatment improves clamp durability and surface protection.

REGO-FIX Tool Corp. announced June 23 that some of its powRgrip brand clamping systems will be made available with a new MicroTexture Finish. According to the Swiss precision tooling company, the new finish technique improves clamp durability and surface protection.

The finish will be applied to the green and black sheet metal panels on the clamp unit exteriors. The coating will be available for the company’s PGS 10, PGS 15, PGS 25, PGS 48, PGU 9500 and PGU 9800 clamp units. The new coating will be applied to all future models of the clamps as a rolling production change basis.

In a statement, REGO-FIX USA’s VP of Engineering, David McHenry, said the new finishing would improve the clamping equipment’s durability and look.

“Our goal is to continuously improve every aspect of the powRgrip® customer experience, from toolholding performance to the appearance and longevity of the equipment itself,” McHenry said. “Our MicroTexture Finish provides manufacturers with a more durable surface that reinforces the premium quality they expect from our products.”
