In May, Koma Precision announced it had reached an agreement with D’Andrea Precision Tools to be the exclusive distributor for the Italian company’s boring and facing machine tooling products in the United States and Mexico.
According to Koma, the company will also provide installation, training, support and service on D’Andrea products, including its MHD system, a modular boring system. Depending on its customization, the MHD system can include arbors, extenders, reducers and adaptors for a variety of core sizes, including digital TRC centesimal boring heads for precision finishing through double-bit TS boring heads for heavy material removal.
In a statement, Koma president Dave Meo said his company’s offering of D’Andrea tools would improve Koma customers’ machining performance.
“Our customers are looking for ways to reduce setups, increase spindle uptime, and maximize the capabilities of their existing machine tools. The addition of D’Andrea Tooling strengthens our ability to support those goals with proven high-performance solutions backed by the application expertise and service Koma Precision is known for,’ Meo said.
