New 5-Axis Milling Machine

Mikron Mill’s MILL E 700-U PRIME features a 20,000 rpm spindle with 120Nm of torque.

United Machining announced April 29 the launch of Mikron Mill’s MILL E 700-U PRIME. According to a company release, the PRIME version is a limited edition of its Mill E Series.

The MILL E 700-U PRIME, United Machining says, features a 20,000 rpm Step-Tec brand spindle with 120 Nm of torque and 36kW of power. The device uses a Heidenhain control system and comes with an integrated automation system in addition to compatibility with third-party systems.

In a statement, United Machining President Onik Bhattacharyya said the mills will give manufacturers access to high-precision machining.

There are so many incredible features in the MILL E 700 U PRIME, including the high-performance spindle that comes standard, the friendly HEIDENHAIN control and the integrated or third party automation," said Bhattacharyya. “But what I’m most excited about is that this machine will give an entirely new segment of manufacturers access to the day-in, day-out accuracy and efficiency that MIKRON MILL and Swiss-made machining provides.”
