New Tooling for Sloped or Elliptical Surfaces

COFA tooling uses a carbide blade to automatically deburr as it machines.
April 16, 2026

Huele Precision Tool launched its COFA tooling for March 26. In a company statement, the Ohio-based tooling company said the technology deburrs through-holes with one pass using a carbide blade without the need to stop or reverse the spindle. The cutting edge, controlled by a spring, automatically deburrs hard-to-reach cross burrs normally deburred manually and making an even tapered corner break. Huele noted the approach is as effective with sloped and elliptical surfaces.

COFA tooling, Huele said, is suitable for use in manual, CNC, live spindle lathe, and automation cells with or without cutting fluid. The tools are available in sizes ranging from 2-30mm and in COFA C and COFA Cassette variants for threaded holes and deburring large holes, respectively, as well as custom designs.
