Advanced Energy Industries, Inc., officially released its LPP200 series of 200W ultra-low-profile AC-DC power suppliers March 11. According to Advanced Energy, the power supplies measure 2x4x0.75 inches with a power density of 33W per cubic inch, suitable for medical and industrial miniaturization use. The LPP200 is certified to the EN/IEC/cUL606-1 safety standard for medical applications as well as the EN/IEC/cUL62368 safety standard for ITE and industrial applications.

The LPP200 series are available in a range of voltage outputs from 12-48V, or up to 200W of output power.

According to Advanced Energy VP of Medical Products and System Power, Shane Callanan, the series of power supplies were designed with a mind towards leaving a tiny profile.

“The LPP series was specifically developed to address the trend for smaller, sleeker medical and industrial systems where space is at a premium,” Callanan said. “The power supplies offer exceptional reliability as well as EMI and EMC performance giving designers the ability to reduce overall equipment size without compromising performance.”
