Global Industrial announced January 6 the launch of its Plastic Guard Rail system for protecting people, products, and equipment from collisions. According to a company statement, the plastic guard rail is designed with drop-in/lift-out rail brackets to simplify equipment movement, as well as a rubber base intended to absorb impacts and reduce damage to factory floors. The ANSI I 9-7 compliant guard rail system is reportedly resistant to chipping, rust, flaking and corrosion, with a temperature rating of UL94 V2 for temperatures from -94 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit.

Guard rail posts are available in three different post heights (18, 42, and 60 inches) with eight different rail lengths (from 3 to 10 feet).

In a statement, John Franceschini, Global Industrial’s Senior Category Manager, emphasized the versatility of the plastic guard rails, which are offered with a variety of dimensions.

"Our new plastic guard rails include multiple post heights, post styles, and rail lengths, providing customers with customized configurations to fit their facilities' requirements," Franceschini said. "The patent-pending design delivers an exceptional impact rating and its energy-absorbing rubber base helps reduce floor damage. These features help lower the total cost of ownership when compared to alternative solutions and deliver exceptional value to our customers."
