Seco Tools released its new 335.18 disc milling cutter in January. The new disc mill for cutting slots comes in 70 standard variants in addition to custom versions.

According to a company release, the 335.18 disc cutter is suitable for use in automotive, aerospace, and general engineering, especially for long overhangs and weaker setups like robotic arms. Seco says the 335.18 improves on previous designs to reduce vibrations and extend tool life.

Custom ranges available for the 335.18 system include a selection of LNKT inserts, alternative corner radii, integrated wiper flats for fine finishes and a portfolio of grades and geometries.
