Emuge-Franken announced the expansion of its Self-Lock brand threading tools line with new thread mills, including fourteen new 2xD sizes from #5-40 to 1”-12 and thirty 3xD sizes from #2-56 to 1”-12. The Massachusetts-based manufacturer of taps, thread mills, drills and other rotary tools also said it would expand its high ramp precision thread gages line.
According to Emuge, the expanded line of Self-Lock thread mills have multiple teeth, helical flutes and TiAlN-t46 coatings for producing self-locking threads in nickel alloys, titanium and stainless steel use are common. The company added the thread mills’ design can simultaneously rough and finish-cut threads, reducing cycle times.
In a statement, Marlon Blandon, Emuge-Franken’s Thread Milling Product Manager, said threads produced by the expanded line are highly secure for industries like aerospace manufacturing.
“Offering a proven thread design that has been successfully working in thousands of safety critical applications, we are pleased to provide a substantially broadened line,” Blandon said. “For high-stress situations, Self-Lock produces an internal thread that yields a self-locking screw connection that can be used repeatedly.”
Emuge’s full line of Self-Lock products now includes UNC and UNF cut taps, metric cut taps, metric form traps, metric thread mills, and a full line of GO/NO-GO thread gages. For more information, see https://info.emuge.com/self-lock.
