Integrated Automation for Job Shops
MILLTRONICS CNC machines can now be directly integrated with automation from Procobots. Designed to put automation within the reach of any job shop, this integration allows operators to set up and control the Procobots system from within the Milltronics INSPIRE+ control and conversational programming platform. Through a streamlined, patented set-up process, users manually maneuver the Procobots robot to teach it where to place workpieces and retrieve finished parts within the machine.
Using the ProFeeder Tray further simplifies operation. The user places workpieces within designated spots on the grid, then selects which ones it wants the system to use for a job.
Additionally, once a job has been set up, it is stored within the control and can be called up in the future. This combination of features provides a high degree of flexibility, allowing a sequence of different jobs to be very quickly set up and automated.
Additionally, the Procobots system contains leveling casters. These allow users to easily move the system throughout a shop, shifting automation capacity to whichever machine would provide the most benefit for the current workload.
“At Milltronics, we are constantly looking for ways to make it easy for job shops of all sizes to gain new capabilities,” according to Ryan Delahanty, managing director of Milltronics. “Automation has traditionally required a significant investment, both in time and cost. The new integration with Procobots makes it easy to achieve unmanned machining at an approachable price point.”
