Parker Hannifin has acquired Titan Industries, a manufacturer of industrial rubber, custom made and composite hoses for fluid and material transfer as well as related products, services, and accessories. Headquartered in South Gate, California, Titan has additional locations in Houston, Texas and Salisbury, North Carolina, and employs 150 people. Read More

Briggs and Stratton Corporation To Acquire Victa Lawncare In Australia
Briggs and Stratton Corporation has agreed to acquire Victa Lawncare Pty. Ltd. of Sydney, Australia from GUD Holdings Limited for a total consideration of $22 million in cash, subject to adjustments. Briggs and Stratton's subsidiary Briggs and Stratton Australia Pty. Limited is a party to the transaction. Read More

SPX To Supply $100 Million In Critical Components For Geothermal
SPX Corporation said its thermal equipment and services business has agreed to supply critical
components worth approximately $100 million to Orkuveita Reykjavikur (OR), an Iceland
utility. The announcement was made at a formal ceremony at the Hellisheidi geothermal

Boeing Awards I Rocket Subcontracts To Three Small Businesses
The Boeing Company has awarded subcontracts to three small businesses under its NASA Ares I avionics contract. The avionics ring mounted between the Ares I upper stage and Orion capsule consists of onboard computers, flight controls, communications equipment, power systems, navigation and control systems and other instruments and their associated software for monitoring the rocket's speed and position while supporting safe assembly, check-out and flight operation. The avionics is the brains of the Ares I rocket, which will transport astronauts into orbit for their journey back to the moon by 2020. Read More

Lockheed Martin Gets $90 Million Contract To Support MLRS Launcher
Lockheed Martin has received a $90 million contract to support U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps MLRS launchers. Lockheed Martin's Life Cycle Contractor Support (LCCS) system will support more than 300 launchers through 2010. Read More
