Live Machining & Manufacturing Events are Back

Aug. 12, 2021
The focus is on Intelligent Factory Automation as the Northwest Machine Tool Expo and Conference returns September 1-2 to the Oregon Convention Center.

After a seemingly endless period of lockdowns, Zoom meetings, and a lack of person-to-person contact, manufacturing and machine shop workers in the Northwest will find that their professional education needs and access to the latest products and industry trends are being met with the return of live events at the 34th Northwest Machine Tool Expo, September 1-2.

The Northwest Machine Tool Expo is a free-to-attend event at the Oregon Convention Center, outside of the Portland downtown area. The expo will consist of a tradeshow filled with product and service offerings from the top companies in the Pacific Northwest, high-interest conference sessions, and a dedicated networking lounge where decision-makers can reconnect.

The tagline for the 2021 event – “Cutting-Edge Problems, Need Cutting-Edge Solutions” – ties together the Expo, where key decision-makers will browse a wealth of product and service offerings that will help them boost productivity, reach their manufacturing goals, and achieve intelligent factory automation. These solutions touch upon all areas of the machining and manufacturing, including CAD/CAM, CNC machining and software, instrumentation and controls, 3D printing, laser cutting, industrial tools, and robotics, just to name a few.

While a variety of topics will receive attention, additive manufacturing, robotics, and advanced optimization software are highlights of the free seminars at the upcoming conference. Speakers will dive deep and discuss the new technologies currently being used as additive manufacturing begins influencing machining, injection molding, and other conventional machining processes.

In addition, attendees can learn how small-to-medium enterprises are becoming more competitive by utilizing robots.

“The Northwest Machine Tool Expo is such a special event. Here, attendees will learn the latest trends, shop for solutions, and reconnect with their colleagues in the industry. We’re so excited to mark our return as the only combined machining and manufacturing tradeshow in the Pacific-Northwest this September,” said Lisa Nagle, Group Show Director.

The hours for the Northwest Machine Tool Expo are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sept. 1, and 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Sept. 2.

The Conference hours are 8:55 AM to 3:10 PM on Sept. 1 and from 8:55 AM to 2:00 PM on Sept. 2.

The Oregon Convention Center is located at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Portland, Ore. To register for free, and to learn more about the expo and conference, visit the event website at: www.MTENW.MachineToolExpos.com.
