The numbers of baby boomers nearing retirement age is astonishing.  Are American youth being given the opportunity to be trained to take over these positions?  The next five years will be decisive.

Aerospace is booming and Reshoring is happening. There are many reasons to be upbeat about the near-term prospects for domestic manufacturing — but there is a parallel development that could undermine the good news ahead. For all the discussions and arguments about the need to improve and expand training in skilled trades, the moment is approaching fast when the need for workers with the skills to perform in manufacturing technology will be accelerated by the retirement of the current workforce.
