A Look Back: Apollo 13

May 1, 2014
Not only was the Apollo Space program an example of amazing technological break throughs, but the tale of the miraculous “rescue” of the three astronauts by NASA engineers is worthy of remembrance.

“Houston, we’ve had a problem here,” Jim Lovell said on April 13, 1970.  As the world held its breath,  the efforts on behalf of NASA engineers led to the successful “rescue” of the three astronauts.

Take a look at IndustryWeek’s retrospective gallery, remembering this “successful failure.”
