Borries Marking Systems (www.borries.com) said it has added capabilities to its MicroLiner compact marker. In addition to its hand-held configuration, the company recently provided an in-line version for work piece marking.
The company said the marking instrument can generate scribe, stylus or dot-matrix markings that are readable by a human eye, and ECC200 DataMatrix code marking for reading by automated vision systems.
The latest MicroLiner 312 is fully programmable, and can mark as many as four characters per second, for in-line processing, lot control and traceability.
The marker is approximately 6.3 in. (160 mm) high by 5.9 inches (150 mm) long and 5.9 inches (150 mm) in depth.
