FARO Technologies Inc. (www.faro.com) has developed an eight-foot, portable measurement arm that the company said can measure accurately to 0.0007 in. (+/-18 microns.) FARO said it developed the Quantum FaroArm to go beyond the limitations of fixed coordinate measuring machines in shop applications.
