NetJets Orders 100 More Embraer Exec Jets

Oct. 14, 2021
A deal worth up to $1.2 billion will see the Brazilian aircraft builder expand its previous supply of twin-engine jets to the private charter airline, starting in 2023.

Embraer will supply up to 100 Phenom 300E executive jets to NetJets Inc under a “continuing deal” worth up to $1.2 billion, according to the Brazilian aircraft OEM. The manufacturer has already supply 100 of the Phenom 300 series to NetJets, which will start taking delivery of the new jets during Q2 2023.

NetJets is a Berkshire Hathaway company that sells fractional ownership in private business jets.

The Phenom 300 is a nine-passenger / two-pilot aircraft powered by twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E turbofan engines. NetJets ordered 50 Phenom 300s in 2010, with options for 75 more.

The newer Phenom 300E model announced in 2020 incorporates upgraded PW535E1 engines, with its range increased from 1,992 to 2,010 nmi.

NetJets new order includes a comprehensive services agreement, Embraer noted.

"We are pleased to have signed this significant deal with NetJets, as our strategic partnership has been an integral part of Embraer's success for over a decade," stated Michael Amalfitano, President & CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. "NetJets is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its operations and for providing an outstanding customer experience, so this continuing deal is an endorsement to the quality of our product and standards in performance, technology, comfort, and support."
