Rolls to Lease Biz Jet Engines through Bombardier

Aug. 16, 2021
Bombardier service centers will become lease-pool locations for BR710 business-jet engines, as Rolls-Royce expands its network to improve customer service and turn-around times.

Rolls-Royce is adding Bombardier Inc.’s service centers as lease pool locations, so customers operating aircraft powered by BR710 engines may lease replacement units when their jets’ own engines are serviced. "The expansion of our lease engine pool locations to selected Bombardier authorized service centers ensures quick turn-around times and better accessibility for our BR710 customers, further strengthening our global services network," stated Rolls-Royce SVP Andy Robinson,

The Rolls-Royce BR710 is a turbofan engine in place on various regional and business aircraft, including Bombardier Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft.

According to Bombardier, the new agreement will improve the customer experience by giving Global aircraft customers access to Rolls-Royce-owned lease engines, first in in Wichita, Kan., to be followed by the Tucson, Ariz., and Hartford, Conn., centers, and then at locations in Germany, England, and Singapore.

Bombardier service centers offer aircraft maintenance and upgrade capabilities, including engine repair and maintenance.

According to EVP Jean-Christophe Gallagher, “Bombardier continues to drive value for its customers through this agreement, which underscores our continued investment in aftermarket infrastructure.”
