Motion Industries, Inc., a distributor of replacement parts for maintenance and repair, announced the Motion Lube Caddy. Designed by a motion repair & services hydraulics team, the caddy features contained, mobile lubrication reservoirs, obviating the need for forklifts to move lubrication tanks while servicing enclosed machinery assets, hydraulic systems, or mobile and agricultural equipment.

The caddy features an air-operated pump with a 500psi back pressure capacity and automatic shutoff that can be operated in three different modes: Manual, automatic, and kidney loop. The caddy’s dual reservoir, available in 40- and 75-gallon used and new oil capacities as well as a 150-gallon hoistable capacity, enables sanitary oil changes. All external hose connections have quick disconnects.

According to Motion Industries, the cart is useful for manufacturers that change lubrication oil in gearboxes and hydraulic systems periodically.

In a statement accompanying the product announcement, Motion Repair & Services West Division Manager Scott Smith, who led development of the caddy, said the cart’s size and design allows it to serve a variety of use-cases.

“The cart’s mobility, compact footprint and integrated design let maintenance teams bring it directly to equipment — no hoses trailing back to a shop, no spills, no drums, no filler carts and no wasted time,” Smith said.

Motion Industries also said the cart is available in a standard model but is also customizable for unique application needs.
