Waterjet Cutting System Emphasizes Accuracy, Simplicity

The new OptiMAX is designed to convert designs into finished parts quickly and relies less on highly experienced operators.

OMAX CORP. introduced the OptiMAX waterjet cutting machine, designed to convert designs into finished parts quickly while relying less on highly experienced operators. It called the new model “its most advanced waterjet ever.”

The OptiMAX new and improved features include:
  The proprietary IntelliMAX software, designed for ease of use and operation quickly following installation. The program incorporates decades of proprietary waterjet cutting models, for reliable and consistent waterjet cutting. 

  The IntelliVISOR console with important metrics to optimize operations and complete system monitoring to avoid unplanned downtime.

  The EnduroMAX pump that automatically sets the correct pressure and minimizes fluctuations to improve component life.

  The IntelliTRAX drive system with advanced motion control that increases the system strength and reliability, with lower maintenance requirement than conventional ball screw and rack and pinon drive systems.

  A new garnet delivery system that the developer said will minimize system downtime.

An optional TiltaJET taper compensation head adds to the system’s process speed and cutting accuracy, and provides advanced optional usability features such as water-level control, under-bridge lighting, and a machine status indicator.
