GE Fanuc Automation has introduced a new control system that extends the versatility of the company's products with a modular design that the company says accommodates a wide variety of input and output sources and allows the use of multiple communication options. GE Fanuc says its VersaMax Micro 64 control system can be programmed directly, without the need for a personal computer, through its memory module. The system is supplied with Proficy Machine Edition Logic Developer PDA software that allows it to interface with handheld computer devices to monitor and change data, view diagnostics, force on/off and configure machine setups. www.gefanuc.com
