Parallel Kinematic Machining

Boasting more than 300 installations worldwide, the Tricept T9000 parallel kinematic machining system, from Loxin of Spain, performs milling, drilling, routing, deburring and finishing, optical inspection and touch probing, fastener/ rivet installation, even friction stir welding with just a change of tooling. Linear actuators and a central structural tube, both mounted to a gimbal support structure, make up one end of the Tricept. At the other end, tripod struts and tubes come together in a stable triangular arrangement around the machine’s 2-axis rotary head.
