MAZAK CORP.’s presentation at IMTS 2022 – booth 338300 – will show manufacturers how they can move their operations forward, with ideas for job shops, advanced machining and high-production workflows. Across five pavilions and 19 machines will be models from Mazak’s Ez, INTEGREX multi-tasking, SYNCREX Swiss-style, and NEO series in live demonstrations.

Mazak also will feature automation systems, its MPower complete customer care program, and Mazak Capital Equipment Financing (MCEF.)

"IMTS 2022 brings manufacturing together for an unprecedented look at how our industry has advanced," according to Mazak Corp. president Dan Janka. "We're excited to share our latest technologies, along with our commitment to customer excellence, in a celebration of productivity and performance."

Mazak’s Ez Series machines put reliability, accuracy and performance into shops of every size. These affordable, Kentucky-built machines include turning centers and vertical machining centers with compact footprints and numerous options.

At IMTS, Mazak will feature the QT-Ez 8MY multi-tasking CNC turning center with an 8-in. chuck and integral-motor spindle that handles a wide range of materials, along with milling capability and Y-axis functionality for single-set-up processing of diverse parts.

In live demonstrations, the automation-ready QT-Ez 8MY will pair up with a cobot to spotlight flexibility and productivity in unattended machining.

Mazak INTEGREX multi-tasking machines transform complex part production with single-set-up convenience and performance for advanced machining. They unify the processing power of multiple machine tools for Done In One® efficiency that accommodates automation and unattended versatility. At IMTS Mazak’s INTEGREX i-450H ST multi-tasking center will show attendees how it delivers the combined processing power of a turning center and full-function machining center, with a second turning spindle and a lower turret with optional rotary tool capabilities to minimize fixtures, tools, handling, and non-cut time.

The new Mazak SYNCREX series Swiss-style machines offer performance and quality for higher-volume, small-part precision machining. SYNCREX machines come in four bar capacities, from 20-38 mm. The machines are available in seven, eight and nine-axis configurations.  A nine-axis model with full B-axis contouring also is available.

SYNCREX machines feature Mazak’s new MAZATROL SmoothSt CNC control, which provides fast, easy job set-ups.  Mazak Swiss Set-up Assist (MSSA) along with the Mazak Dynamic Chip Control (MDCC) features help reduce set-up times and part production.  Both of these optional features will be highlighted at IMTS 2022.

Among several next-generation NEO Series machines on exhibit at IMTS, Mazak will showcase the HCN-6800 NEO horizontal machining center and the VARIAXIS i-800 NEO machining center. NEO Series machines will elevate the previous generation machines’ efficiency and ease of use through numerous upgrades. The new NEO machines sport fully redesigned enclosures, best-in-class standard, and optional equipment and improvements that provide fast, optimal solutions for more part-production applications.

The HCN 6800 NEO features upgrades to its spindle, table, and magazine, including a new standard 43-tool drum-type magazine that reduces tool-exchange times. For ease of maintenance, the machine incorporates hydraulic/motorized pallet changer mechanisms and an easier-to-access maintenance panel. A faster servo-driven ATC door design now also accommodates longer tools. As an option, Mazak offers a direct-drive motor table that ensures the fastest indexing time in its class and rotary scales for high-accuracy positioning.

As an enhanced version of a popular Mazak five-axis machine, its VARIAXIS i-800 NEO sports a powerful CNC, faster machining cycle times, expanded workpiece capacities, and more automation options. Equipped with Mazak’s MAZATROL SmoothAi CNC, the machine provides functions that include the SMOOTH Machining Configuration (SMC) for process optimization with real-time operator control of a wide range of cutting parameters and Ai Thermal Shield for stable machining accuracy through smart compensation for heat displacement.

At IMTS 2022, Mazak will highlight how MPower – a comprehensive machine-support program offered to every Mazak customer – provides single-source access to end-to-end support for the lifetime of every Mazak machine, including 24/7 phone support, onsite service, technical training and 97% same-day shipping of parts orders.

Among the MPower features that Mazak will highlight will be On-Demand Learning (MODL), which delivers in-person and online courses from beginner to advanced levels at Mazak's network of Technology and Technical Centers and through self-paced instruction.

Visitors also will learn how Mazak Capital Equipment Financing (MCEF) makes it easy to add the capabilities they need for success, with one-stop factory-direct financing in four simple steps and credit approval in as little as 24 hours. MCEF offers factory terms on Mazak equipment for manufacturers throughout the U.S., with direct access to machine specifications, delivery schedules and installation dates for quick approval and shipment.
