GF Machining Solutions is establishing a Medical Center of Competency in Lincolnshire, Ill., and appointed Donn Wuestenberg to manage that operation opening later this year. The new center will offer North American manufacturers of medical components and devices “world-class production technologies that include precision milling, EDM, laser texturing, micromachining, and automation.”
Wuestenberg brings more than 20 years of manufacturing experience to his role as Medical Business Development Manager, and will focus on collaborating with major technology partners. He is a Master Electrician and Journeyman Industrial Electrician with expertise in plant production, project design, and die/mold and production machinery for medical parts.
The Medical Center of Competency will give manufacturers access to GF Machining Solutions’ sales, service, and medical application support teams. Drawing on its experience in manufacturing complex, high-precision parts, GFMS will provide strategies and technologies to improve production of medical instruments, orthopedic and trauma implants, consumables, dental parts, packaging and more.
Wuestenberg said the Medical Center of Competency will provide the right setting GF Machining Solutions to collaborate with its medical customers and strategic industry partners.
