Workholding vacuum table kit

Tormach has introduced a vacuum table kit designed for the PCNC 1100 3-axis milling machine that adds flexible, custom workholding to the machine for light machining applications, such as engraving and light finishing. It easily installs on the table with standard mounting hardware and can be removed quickly for nohassle fixturing.

The precision machined aluminum table has an 18-in. by 9.5-in. working area to match the work envelope of the PCNC 1100. It also features a low profile that adds only one inch to the overall table height.“While the vacuum table kit doesn’t replace a traditional machinist vise, it provides a platform for workholding strategies not otherwise possible,” said Greg Jackson, Tormach chief executive officer. Jackson added that he expects interest in the kit from customers who do engraving and light machining, especially in wood, plastic, and circuit boards.

A vacuum pump and exhaust filter are sold separately and, when combined with the kit, provide a complete workholding system for the PCNC 1100.
