Sandvik Coromant’s new WMX wiper insert combines a main radius with multiple complementary radii and integrates a new chip-breaker geometry.
The company said this design widens feedrate and chip-breaking ranges to allow machining times to be cut by about 30 percent. The company said the inserts increase productivity in mediumto- rough machining and higher quality surface finishes can be achieved in finishing operations. The inserts increase reliability and predictability across a wide feed range, making them a good choice for a variety of applications.
