Portable Metrology Solutions
FARO CREAFORM will show its latest portable metrology technologies at IMTS 2026, in the East hall at booth 134730. Visitors can explore technologies designed to enhance inspection efficiency, support quality workflows, and enable data-driven decision-making.
The primary technology on display will be the Quantum X FaroArm® Series arms, configurable and scalable probing and scanning portable measurement devices. Available in five lengths and three accuracy levels, the Quantum X FaroArm Series arms can be paired with the FAROBlu® Laser Line Probe, powered by DTEX, to help manufacturers reduce time to data by up to 60% while improving scanning performance on dark, shiny, and high-contrast surfaces. Together with the FARO 8-Axis Max rotary worktable, the technology delivers faster, highly repeatable inspection workflows without compromising accuracy.
Designed for applications ranging from small parts to large assemblies, the Quantum X FaroArm Series supports inspection, CAD comparison, and reverse engineering workflows. By helping manufacturers identify deviations sooner and reduce rework, waste, scrap and equipment downtime, portable coordinate measuring machines can help increase throughput and deliver rapid returns on investment.
FARO CREAFORM also will show its next-generation HandySCAN 3D portfolio, including the new EVO, EVO Plus and MAX EVO models. Combining wireless metrology-grade accuracy, integrated visualization, and streamlined inspection workflows, these technologies help quality teams inspect parts faster, measure with confidence and adapt to applications ranging from small precision components to large assemblies. Paired with the mobility kit, users can take inspection directly to the point of need, whether in the lab or on the production floor.
The HandySCAN 3D EVO Series enhances inspection workflows with augmented reality and an integrated photo camera, enabling quality engineers to document inspections, identify deviations faster and make informed decisions directly at the point of measurement. Combined with the mobility kit, it delivers a truly portable metrology solution that brings high-precision inspection wherever it is needed.
Additional technologies at the FARO CREAFORM booth will include FARO Vantage Laser Trackers, HandySCAN 3D MAX Series scanners, the newly launched MetraSCAN BLACK2 optical 3D scanner and the Gage Max FaroArm. Together, these technologies help manufacturers address a wide range of dimensional inspection requirements, from high-accuracy part verification and large-scale measurement to flexible shop-floor quality control.
