For shops wishing to automate their CNC lathes and vertical machining centers, Midaco Corp. (www.midacocorp.com) offers a series of robotic part-loading and unloading systems that help maximize machine throughput.

Available with a variety of different robot brands, these units can tend one or two machines. Plus the systems are mounted on linear guides, so shops can move them out of the way when not in use to facilitate conventional operation of the machine tool.
