Delcam reports record software sales

Sept. 10, 2007

Delcam plc (www.ddelcam.com), a developer of computer aided design and manufacturing software, says it has achieved its best ever half-year sales in the first six months of 2007. Sales to June 30, 2007 were $29 million, up almost 10 percent of the $26.4 million sales in the first six months of 2006.

Delcam says the increase in sales is the result of their aggressive growth strategy. “For several years, we have aimed to build our company’s sales by diversifying outside our traditional market in the mould, tool and die sector,” said Glenn McMinn, president of Delcam North America. “Recent acquisitions has helped increase our sales in the medical industry by allowing us to offer new solutions in SwissCAM with PartMaker and Orthopedics with Crispin. These new products have helped increase sales in new markets for us along with the breadth of the Delcam software range.”

Delcam offers a set of computer aided manufacturing software including PowerMILL, FeatureCAM, PartMaker and ArtCAM. Spending on software research and development grew from $7.4 million in the first half of 2006 to $8.2 million in the first six months of 2007.
