Honda Aircraft Company Expands Jet Sales To Europe
Honda Aircraft Company, Inc., of Greenville, N.C., said it plans to expand sales of HondaJet to Europe, beginning in May at the annual EBACE (European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition) conference in Geneva, Switzerland. The sales expansion comes as Honda Aircraft Company today finalized its U.S. distribution network with the selection of Albany, New York, as the final location among its five sales and service facilities being established across the country. BorgWarner Opens Production Facility In China
Propelled by growing demand in the rapidly expanding Chinese automotive market, BorgWarner Thermal Systems opened a new production facility at its campus in Ningbo, China, where it will produce fans, viscous fan drives, Visctronic(R) fan drives and water pumps. The new 194,000-square-foot (18,000-square-meter) operation is BorgWarner's largest in China, employing 260 people. Read More

Northrop Grumman Gets $252 Million In Contracts For The F-22 Raptor Fighter Jet
Northrop Grumman Corporation said it received multiple contracts totaling $252 million from Lockheed Martin since Jan. 1, 2008 for the communications, navigation and identification (CNI) subsystem of the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter program. The awards include F-22 Production Lots 7, 8, 9 and spares, and modernization efforts for the CNI systems. Read More

Space Systems/Loral To Build New Direct Broadcast Satellite
Space Systems/Loral (SS/L), a subsidiary of Loral Space & Communications (Nasdaq:LORL) and the world's leading provider of high-power commercial satellites, today announced that it was selected to provide a new direct broadcast satellite (DBS) for DISH Network Corporation (Nasdaq:DISH). The new satellite, which is based on SS/L's space-proven 1300 platform, will support the expansion of DISH Network's programming and services. Read More

Bangladesh Airlines To Buy 777s, 787s From Boeing
Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Boeing said the airline will buy four 777-300ER (Extended Range) and four 787-8 Dreamliner airplanes. The companies announced the deal at a signing ceremony in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh on April 22. Read More

General Dynamics To Build The Spacecraft For The Landsat Data Satellites
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, has been selected by NASA to build the spacecraft for the Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM). Under the terms of the $116 million delivery order, General Dynamics will be responsible for the design and fabrication of the LDCM spacecraft bus, integration of the government furnished instruments, satellite-level testing, on-orbit satellite check-out and continuing on-orbit engineering support. General Dynamics will also provide a spacecraft/observatory simulator. Read More
