Toyota RAV4 Production Underway In Canada
Toyota kicked off production on Dec. 4 of its RAV4 sport utility vehicle at a new manufacturing facility in Woodstock, Ont.
The plant represents an investment of CAN$1.1 billion and boosts Toyota's investment in Canada to approximately CAN$5.6 billion. Read More

Goodrich To Make Wheels And Brakes For The Airbus A350 XWB Family
Goodrich Corporation was selected by Airbus to supply wheels and carbon brakes for all variants of the A350 XWB family of aircraft. The selection is expected to generate more than $3 billion in revenue over the life of the program. The equipment will be provided by Goodrich's Aircraft Wheels and Brakes team in Troy, Ohio. PPG targets wind turbine industry OEMs
PPG Industries’ commercial coatings group has increased its involvement in the global wind turbine industry. American Axle & Manufacturing Swaps Assets With FormTech Industries
American Axle & Manufacturing said it has executed an asset purchase agreement with FormTech Industries LLC.
As part of this agreement, AAM exchanged its hub and spindle forging business for FormTech's differential gear, hypoid pinion and ring gear forging businesses. In order to compensate for the difference in value between the assets and businesses exchanged by the parties, AAM made a cash payment to FormTech. The parties also exchanged certain direct and indirect inventories, fixed assets and tooling related to the exchanged businesses.

Tyco International Proposes Move To Switzerland
Tyco International Ltd. said its board of directors approved moving the company's place of incorporation from Bermuda to Switzerland. Tyco's shareholders will be asked to vote in favor of the proposal at a Special General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on March 12, 2009. Read More

General Dynamics Gets Engineering And Support Contract For Trident Missiles
