New forklift mounting sleeves convert fork trucks into vacuum-powered lifters, according to manufacturer Anver Corp., Hudson, Mass. Reportedly, the hybrid system has a 2,200-lb capacity and handles all types of sheet, plate, and large panels.

Two sleeves comprise the system, which accepts standard 26-in. forks and mounts onto the beam of an Anver VPF-57 series vacuum lifter. The lifter comes with a pendant control that can be mounted inside the fork-truck cab.

Shops can also use the lifter with a crane hook for boom attachment.
