Proficy Change Management Screen integrates functions.

GE Fanuc Automation Americas Inc.'s (www.gefanuc.com) says its Proficy Change Management Version 5.50 is designed to be better integrated with other GE Fanuc products, to provide support for new programs and devices, and to provide more functionality.

The company says the new software upgrade also is designed to help to monitor software and data assets, protect against device failure or operator error and meet government regulatory requirements. Its capabilities include security, version control, audit trails, central storage, and automated backup and recovery.

The version also includes a new e-mail configuration tool to alert operators to trouble, and allows users to schedule operations so the PLC (Progammable Logic Controls) matches.
