GEFanuc Automation's (www.gefanuc.com) Industrial Software Pavilion highlighted the company's plant-automation products, including software and hardware, that the company said improve efficiency while controlling costs and reducing waste for manufacturers.

Featured automation and visualization products included: Proficy plant applications 4.2, which helps companies close the gap between business and manufacturing. It encompasses Proficy Portal, an on-line real-time window into plant data and processbased systems, and Proficy Machine Tool Efficiency (MTE) shop-floor intelligence software that reduces machine downtime, optimizes performance and boosts quality.

GE Fanuc also displayed its Quick-Panel bundled solution with touch screen access and data-collection software; Manual Guide i shop-floor programming software with PC simulator for increasing machine tool operator productivity; CNC Simulator that assists with training, testing, troubleshooting and programming; and Visual SPC for shop-floor quality-data collection and analysis.

In addition, the company's families of CNCs made an appearance, the Series 0i-c, Series 16i and Series 30i. From multi-axis, high-precision machines to simple mill, turn and grind applications, the CNC systems combine reliable hardware, software and service for improving plant-floor productivity.
