Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology has developed several interfaces so its Calypso CAD-based measuring software works with non-Ziess CMMs. In the future, 3D CMMs will function with Calypso I++DME client via the I++DME interface if they are equipped with a corresponding I++DME server. In addition, there are several direct interfaces for connection of Calypso to existing hardware and other interfaces for articulated arm measuring machines and laser trackers.
