ESPRIT 2006 is upgraded with new grooving cycles to support advances in cutting tool geometry and machine tool design, including machines capable of turning while utilizing a B-axis. ESPRIT Mold uses 20 different milling strategies to automatically manage the in-process stock model, allowing the user to combine milling strategies from 2-axis to 5-axis for optimized tool paths. 3+2 Machining in ESPRIT Mold improves surface finish by using A-and Baxes to incline the cutting tools, making the use of shorter, more rigid cutting tools and direct machining of undercut areas possible.
