Riten Industries Inc. has introduced heavy-duty, spring-loaded, carbide-tipped live centers that have four interchangeable springs to handle axial deflection pressures while compensating for thermal expansion and varying workpiece dimensions. The company says the precision design for its live centers allow them to achieve concentricity to 1 micron. A lockable spindle allows the live centers to become carbide-tipped dead centers. The company says the centers have the capacity to handle parts ranging in weight from a few ounces to thousands of pounds.www.riten.com
