REGO-FIX recently announced the development of a new, 3D-EdgeMaster precision centering device product line. 3D-EdgeMaster measuring technology was developed to provide machine shops with process reliability and improved production quality, continuing the developer’s record of addressing manufacturing customers’ most challenging toolholding needs,
The new 3D-EdgeMaster is shock-proof and splash-proof in accordance with IP 67 regulations, and the mechanism is protected by a predetermined breaking point in the ceramic probe insert. The 3D edge finder provides fast and precise probing of reference edges, setting of the zero point, and measuring with repeat accuracy of ≤ 0.01 mm.
Shops can adjust runout by setting the X-axis and Y-axis. They can also calibrate the measuring path, center the machine axis and determine the bore center. The probe can quickly and easily be replaced.
Designed to shorten setup time and improve precision, the new 3D-EdgeMaster measuring technology also includes MasterBar test arbors for calibrating the machine spindle, increasing CNC quality and minimizing scrap costs.
