Tool consumption for year ends higher than 2003

The 2004 machine tool consumption ended almost 44% ahead of 2003 figures. The year-end total from The American Machine Tool Distributors' Association (AMTDA) and AMT — The Association For Manufacturing Technology is $3,000.58 million, about 43.6% higher than 2003. December machine tool consumption is 9.8% more than November at $314.47 million.
