Kurt Manufacturing (www.kurtchip.com) will exhibit its new 45 metric ton Chipmunk metal compactor briquettor.
The company said this new model and its larger, 125-metric ton model, are the most energy efficient, high output systems for compacting aluminum and steel/ductile iron chips.
Both Chipmunk models use a hydraulically driven infeed auger that separates most unwanted solids from chips prior to the compacting cycle.
Both Chipmunk models deliver up to 8:1 compaction ratio and reclaim expensive cutting fluids. The Chipmunk systems compact ferrous and non-ferrous chips into dense 3 in. X 1… in. briquettes for recycling.
