The MAZAK CORP. QT-Ez Series of CNC turning centers give machine shops an affordable, easy-to-use package that brings maximum efficiency, reliability, and value to precision small-parts production. The series includes three models with the most popular chuck sizes, suitable for a wide range of industrial requirements and materials, with integral-motor turrets and rigid bed designs.
The QT-Ez machines can be configured with a range of tailstock, automation, chip management and multi-tasking options that expand their functionality – and even provide full access to DONE IN ONE® capabilities for single-setup machining.
The QT-Ez Series includes integral motor headstocks, a Hybrid MX roller guide system for rigidity, accuracy and reliability; and pre-tensioned ball screw systems with support at each end.
Tailstock options include a manual position with hydraulic quill or servo positioning capability.
The design includes rotary tooling (M) and Y-axis off-centerline machining (Y) for multi-tasking processing. A igh-production second spindle (S) is available for DONE IN ONE® part processing.
The turning centers can be integrated with bar feeders and robots, for unmanned operations.
QT-Ez Series machines are equipped with the MAZATROL SmoothEz CNC, which features a 15-in touch screen with a full-screen keyboard and advanced Ez graphical user interface that allows for viewing 60 program lines at once. As with all Mazak machine controls, the SmoothEz CNC offers users the ability to use both EIA/ISO and MAZATROL conversational programming.
