Keller Products Inc. designed its PFA-1030 portable pump and filter unit to remove extremely fine solids from sumps. The company says the portable units can be used to maintain machines used to cut, and fabricating medical device components and other applications in which maintaining an untainted stream of coolant or lubricant is

necessary. The units are designed to pull cutting oil or coolant from a machine's sump, filter it to five microns and return it at 20 gallons per minute. The company says sumps can be cleaned by PFA-1030s in 30 minutes or less. The units also reduce downtime and labor associated with manual sump cleaning because fluid does not have to be emptied from sumps while it is being cleaned. www.kellerproducts.net
