Rollmatic's new Trimos wheel presetter.
Rollomatic Inc. (www.rollomaticusa.com) demonstrated simplified setup processes for grinding machines with its Trimos wheelpresetting system. The table-mounted unit features a camera and two linear glass scales. The glass-scale controls and camera software are built into a desktop PC.
Shops can use the presetting system to quickly scope grinding wheel packs via captured pictures displayed in real time within Rollomatic's Virtual-Grind tool-design software. After scoping, new wheel data automatically transfers into the 3D simulation portion of VirtualGrind. Simulating machine movement eliminates the need for dry runs and reduces machine downtime.
