Adept Technology Inc.’s Quattro s650 robot for solar-cell handling and inspections aims to increase manufacturing yields and overall factory throughput as the solar-cell industry shifts to thinner and thinner cells. The robot uses a special four-arm parallel kinematic design that Adept said offers major advantages over traditional three-arm-style kinematics.
